Life Resident of Davenport Called to Rest

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Zinger, 61, passed away at the family home, 3108 Jersey Ridge road at 3 a.m. today following an illness of the past three months.

The deceased was born in Davenport March 24, 1866 and resided here her entire life. She was united in marriage to Joseph Zinger at St. Mary's church Jan. 25, 1887 by the late Monsignor Nierman.

Surviving are her husband, five daughters, Mrs. Emil Goosen, Moline, Ill., Mrs. James LeVake, Mrs. John F. Block, Mrs. G. R. Schloemer and Miss Josephine, all of Davenport; two sons, Charles G. and Louis J., both of Davenport; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Diedrich, Mrs. Edward Freund and Mrs. Joseph Martin; and two brothers, John and Joseph Klaus, all of Davenport.
The body was taken to the Halligan funeral parlors and will be returned to the late home Thursday afternoon. The funeral will be held Saturday morning from the home at 8:30 o'clock with services at the St. Paul the Apostle church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in St. Marguerite's cemetery.
