Mrs. Littig, 75, wife of Adam Littig, a life-long resident of Scott county, died Saturday at 1:30 p.m., at the family residence, 205 Denison avenue, after a lingering illness.
She was born near Davenport, Dec. 4, 1851, a daughter of the late Gabriel and Elizabeth McArthur, and received her education in this community. She was united in marriage to Mr. Littig in Davenport, April 1873.

They resided on a farm in the county until 1894, when they retired and returned to Davenport. She was a member of the Baptist church.

In 1923 the couple celebrated their golden anniversary, observing the event with "open house" at the family home.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, LeRoy Littig of Los Angeles and A.E. and Harry Littig of this city; two daughters, the Misses Lillian M., and Lauretta L. Littig of Davenport; one sister, Miss Etta McArthur of Davenport, and one brother, George McArthur of Smith Center, Kan.

One brother, E.G. McArthur, former Scott county sheriff, preceded her in death several years ago.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at the residence, interment will take place in Oakdale cemetery.
