Dr. L. W. Littig is home from Davenport whither he was summoned to attend the funeral of his father, John Littig, a beloved pioneer of Scott county. Death has invaded the Littig home repeatedly during the past year, accident causing one brother's end, heart trouble and complications claiming another, and now the aged parent is gone.

(Contributor Note: Edward Littig was the accidental death. William Littig was probably attributable to the heart trouble and complications.)
