Miss Ernestine Franz passed away at Mercy hospital Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. She had made her home with her niece, Mrs. A.H. Beck, 211 East Central Park avenue, Davenport. Her death terminated a lingering illness.

Deceased was born in Germany, April 19, 1864, and came to Muscatine with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Franz, at the age of two years. She had been making her home with her niece for the past year. Survivingare one brother, Charles Franz of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Charles Klink of Muscatine; her niece, and six nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the Nissen & Hartwig chapel and at 2:30 o’clock the body was shipped to Muscatine where services will be held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Klink. Interment will be in Muscatine cemetery.
