Jackson Sentinel, Maquoketa, Iowa, August 31, 1876.

Patrick Degan, an old and well-known drayman, of Davenport, for twenty years past, was killed in that city last Friday morning, by being crushed beneath engine No. 124 of the Rock Island Road, while attempting to cross Fifth Street. He was a brother of Mr. Thos. Degan, of Otter Creek, this county.
