Dies in Room as Ambulance Stops at Door

As the city ambulance arrived to rush him to the hospital, Leroy J. Mounts, 41, died in his room at 114½ West Third street Sunday at 5 a.m. Coroner Cantwell pronounced the sudden death due to an abdominal hemorrhage.
Mounts had been a resident of Davenport for the last two years, coming here from Buffalo where he was born June 3, 1885.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. D. Stapleton of Davenport, and two brother, Jacob of Buffalo and Sylvester of Davenport.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Friends’ church in Buffalo. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery.
