Eugene Henry Sievert, 68, of 606 W. srd St., Davenport, died in his home Friday at 6 a.m. after a lingering illness.

Mr. Sievert was born Aug. 11, 1888, in Davenport. He married Minnie H. Sierk Nov. 27, 1907, in Davenport. He was a plumber for 53 years. Previous to his retirement four years ago, he was employed by the Ben Abein Plumbing Co. for eight years. Mr. Sievert was a member of Eagles, Aerie No. 235, Woodmen of the World, and Plumbers' Local Union No. 387.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. C.W. Fluegal, Rock Island; a son, Russell E. Sievert, North Hollywood, Calif.; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Runge Chapel. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to donate to the Scott County Cancer Society.
