Monday morning at 9:30 o’clock, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. Vieth, 519 Myrtle street, occurred the death of John George August Moeller, aged 71 years, 3 months and 16 days.
The deceased was born at Farrentin, Mecklenburg, Germany, in 1834, and in 1855 came to America, settling at once in Davenport, at Fishertown, where he followed the vocation of a fisherman. In 1858, he married to Doris Hoffmann, who died five years ago.
Seven children survive, Mrs. Henry Vieth, Frank, Edward, Herman and Fred Moeller, Mrs. Fred Van Camp, all of Davenport, and Mrs. George Holst, of Rock Island.
The funeral will be held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Vieth, 519 Myrtle street, at 2 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, with interment Fairmount cemetery.
