Jacobs
Mrs. Maud E. Jacobs, 1602 Christie street, passed away this morning at 11:15 o’clock. Her death terminated an illness of three years’ duration.
The deceased was born May 22, 1874, at Toronto, Can. On July 2, 1896, she was united in marriage to Charles Edward Jacobs at Audubon, Ia., and a year later came to Davenport where she has been a resident since. She was affiliated with McClellan Heights Presbyterian church, the East Davenport Turners, Alberta Camp of the Royal Neighbors, and was a charter member of the Pocahontas lodge.
Mrs. Jacobs was a good wife, a wonderful neighbor, and a loving mother to her eight children who survive besides her husband. They are Carl of Flat River, Mo., Bert, George, Carlisle, Edward, Raymond, Mrs. John Feeney and Miss Alberta, all at home, and three grandchildren, Genette, Louis and Stelling Feeney.
The body was removed to the E. A. Horrigan & Son funeral parlors pending funeral arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Maud E. Jacobs will be held from the E. A. Horrigan & Son funeral parlors Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.
Interment will take place in Oakdale cemetery.The Davenport Democrat and Leader; Monday Evening, January 26, 1925:
The Jacobs Funeral
The funeral of Mr. Maude E. Jacobs was held Saturday afternoon from the E. A. Horrigan & Son funeral parlors. Rev. F. R. McLean, and Alberta Camp of the Royal Neighbors officiated at the parlors. Vocal selections were rendered by Mrs. Ernest Lindholm, and Rev. McLean, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. McLean. The ladies of the East Davenport Turner society attended the services in a body.
Pallbearers were William Green, Theodore Guy, Charles H. Simpson, Ollie Svinson, Jake Svinson, and Niels Nelson.
Interment took place in Oakdale cemetery.
