The Davenport Leader and Democrat; Wednesday Evening, January 21, 1925:

Tennant

Mrs. Lydia Tennant passed away at her home, 2135 Scott street at 10 o‘clock this morning, after being ill for the past year. She was born in Johnson county, Iowa, December 24, 1862. Her husband died in Chicago several years ago, and two years ago she came to Davenport to make her home.

Deceased was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Noble Queen Chapter, No. 402 of Chicago, and the order will have charge of the funeral services in Chicago, where interment will be made in Elmwood cemetery.

Surviving are four brothers, W. R. Benkert of Davenport, George Benkert of California, Charles Reiszner of Marion, Iowa and Frank J. Reiszner of Philadelphia.

The remains were taken to the M. V. Boies chapel and funeral announcements will be made later.

The Davenport Leader and Democrat; Thursday Evening, January 22, 1925:

Pennant Funeral

Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Pennant [sic] will be held Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the M. V. Boies chapel, after which the body will be shipped to Chicago for services and interment in Elmwood cemetery.

[note: Pennant = Tennant. I checked the 1920 census and Lydia’s last name is Tennant - she is living with her brother Abraham Reiszner in Linn Co., IA]
