Winters
The funeral of Edwin Winters was held this morning at 8 o’clock from the late home, 430 West Ninth street, to St. Anthony’s church at 8:15 o’clock. Rev. C. A. B. Van Waus celebrated a requiem high mass, pronounced the burial absolution, and preached the funeral sermon.
At the offertory of the mass, Miss Angela M. Driscoll rendered an Ave Maria and at the end of the mass, the choir, composed of Mrs. Pilcher, Lou Koenigsaecher, and Angela M. Driscoll, sang “Nearer My God to Thee.”
The pallbearers were Tom Gannon, Early Gray, Albert Charter, Martin Reagan, Matthew Nolan, and Joe Myers. Rev. Van Waus officiated at the interment in St. Marguerite’s cemetery.
