Daniel G. Lloyd died this morning at 7:10 o’clock at his home, 710 Granitiod apartments.
The deceased was born Oct. 10, 1854, at Pittsburg, Penn., and received his early education in Streator, Ill. He came to Iowa 43 years ago, and has been a resident of Davenport for the past 23 years. His occupation here was wrecking contract work. On Oct. 10, 1873, he was united in marriage to Alice Pruden at Rapid City, Ill., who survives him besides four daughters, Mrs. Grace Weber, Mrs. W. W. Richards, both of Davenport, Mrs. W. C. Crull of Independence, Mo., and Mrs. H. H. Martens of Quincy, Ill., one son, Daniel E. Lloyd of Independence, one sister, Mrs. Martin McRoberts of Des Moines, and four brothers, Abraham and William, both of Des Moines, and Eli and John, both of Spokane, Wash.
He was a member of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints.
The body was taken to the Horrigan & Son mortuary, and will be taken to the home, 710 Granitoid apartments, from where funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.

Funeral services for Daniel G. Lloyd were held from the late home, No. 7 Granitoid apartments, Thursday afternoon. Rev. William Willets of Rock Island officiated at the home and at the interment in Oakdale cemetery. Two beautiful hymns, “Gathering Home” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” were rendered by Miss Isabella Houghton and Mrs. J. T. Hart.
Pallbearers were J. E. Asay, F. White, J. H. Gettert, J. E. Benson, Joe Wiley and Homer Pruden.
