Mrs. Julia Boettger, formerly of Davenport, died at the home of her duaghter, Mrs. C. M. Newport, in San Mateo, Cal., on Jan. 5, after a short illness.

Mrs. Boettger was an old resident of Davenport, and since her husband passed away six years ago, has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Marie Fargutt, at Tacoma, Wash., but the past five months she has been with Mrs. Newport. Both daughters survive her, besides two brothers, Christian Jansen of Los Angeles and Johannes Jansen, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Carlson, both of Chicago.

The remains will arrive in Davenport Saturday, and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
