Mrs. E. Buxler is Summoned

Dies at the Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. J. J. Flanigan

Mrs. Elizabeth Buxler, mother of Mrs. J. J. Flanigan, died at her daughter’s home, 2026 Marquetts street, Wednesday noon. Death terminated an illness of 18 months.

Mrs. Buxler was born Feb. 28, 1856 in Pennsylvania, and for the past 20 years has made her home with her daughter in Davenport. On July 4, 1874, she was united in marriage to Conrad Buxler, who preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1895. She was a member of the Holy Family church, and a very devoted mother to her family. Mrs. Buxler will always be remembered for her wonderful character, and her charitable nature.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. J. Flanigan of Davenport, Miss Lillian Buxler of Los Angeles, two sisters, Mrs. M. M. Emberee of Madrid, Ia., and Miss Louise Certano of Spring Valley, Ia., and seven brothers, John A. of Anamosa, Ia., A. D. of Spring Valley, Richard of Monticello, J. A. of Ireton, Ia., Daniel A. of Seattle, and Burt of Athena, Ore.

The body will be removed Friday noon from the Fred N. Ruhl funeral home to the home of her daughter, 2026 Marquette street, and funeral services will be held from the home Saturday morning at 8:30 o’clock to Holy Family church at 9 o’clock. Interment will take place in Oakdale cemetery.
