O’Dea

This forenoon at 10 o’clock occurred the death of Michael O’Dea, a long time and honored resident of this city. He was a quiet and unassuming man, and lived generally beloved by all who knew him. He was a devout christian and lived up to this belief.

Deceased was born in County Limerick, Ireland, in 1820 and was 75 years old. He emigrated to America in 1850, locating in Preston county, Ky. He came to Davenport about 30 years ago and has since made it his home.

He was a member of St. Mary’s church and the funeral will be held from the residence, 1428 Marquette street, to St. Mary’s church, Thursday morning at 9 o’clock.
