McClaren

Death occurred to David McClaren, a resident of Davenport, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Coffman, 929 Ninth street, Rock Island, Friday afternoon. His death terminated a lingering illness.

The deceased was born in Audubon, Ia., Aug. 19, 1856, and was married at Marengo, Ia., to Miss Bessie Thompason, 45 years ago. Before moving to Davenport he had been a resident of Rock Island for some time. Surviving him are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Robert Coffman and Mrs. Margaret Anderson, both of Rock Island, and Mrs. Walter Mooney, of Ottumwa, Ia.; one son, William McClaren, of Davenport, and three sisters, Mrs. Margie Kneese and Mrs. Sadie Hogenson, both of Audubon, and Mrs. Ada Murdock, of What Cheer, Ia.

The funeral will be held at the home of his sister, Mrs. Coffman, 929 Sixth street, Rock Island, Monday morning at ten o’clock. Interment will take place in Oakdale cemetery, Davenport.
