John A. Haugh Laid to Rest at Clinton, IA

Former Davenporter Who Became a Leader in Business Affairs

Funeral services for the late John A. Haugh were held Wednesday in Clinton at St. Mary’s Catholic church, where requiem high mass was celebrated.

There was a large attendance of sorrowing friends and many beautiful floral tributes were in evidence. Large delegations from Davenport, Rock Island and other places were in attendance. Interment was made in St. Mary’s cemetery, Clinton.

Mr. Haugh was manager of the Clinton branch of the Lagomarcino-Grape company and was prominent in the business and fraternal circles of that city. Death occurred at the family home, 745 Fourth avenue.

Mr. Haugh was a former Davenporter, having been born and reared to manhood here. He removed to Clinton a number of years ago. In that city he was a director of the Peoples Trust & Savings band and a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Elks, Rotary club, United Commercial Travelers and of the Travelers’ Protective association.
Mr. Haugh was a fine type of citizen, loyal to family and friends and always willing and anxious to do his full share as a citizen of the community. He was kind and generous and ever willing to assist the less fortunate.

Haugh, all of Clinton, and three sisters, Mary, Nora and Nellie; a brother, Patrick Haugh, Jr., and his father, Patrick Haugh, Sr., all of Davenport.
