McKown

Relatives have been saddened today, to receive word of the death at Cleveland, Ohio, at 1:30 this morning, of Mrs. Russell McKown, daughter-in-law of Mr. And Mrs. L. W. McKown of this city.

The deceased was formerly Miss Mildred Donaldson of Carrollton, Ohio, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. S. W. Donaldson of that city. She was married to Russell McKown in July, 1921, and their home had been in Cleveland since that time. Mr. McKown being a successful landscape engineer, with headquarters there, and had a part in large landscaping work in various parts of the country. Mrs. McKown had been in ill health for some time, and went to a hospital three weeks ago for an operation, followed by others which proved unsuccessful in saving her life.

Mrs. L. W. McKown had been with her for the past two weeks, and L. W. McKown left Tuesday afternoon for Cleveland.

The deceased had visited in Davenport several times, and was last here at a McKown family reunion at the home of the Davenport relatives, last Christmas. She was a young woman of the finest character, who will be deeply mourned.
The funeral will take place at her old home at Carrollton.
