Here is the courthouse and obituary for your grandfather John A. Shoberg.

John A. Shoberg, age 53, born August 1,1875 in Elkpoint, South Dakota, died July 17,1947. He had attained the age of 71 years, 11 months and 16 days. His parents were Andrew Shoberg-born in Sweden and Carey Larson, born in Sweden. Informatnt was Maude Shoberg of Nemaha, Iowa. Cause of death was arterio-sclerotic Heart. Buried in Nemaha, Iowa.

John Shoberg Passed Away At Age 71 Years

John August Shoberg was born at Elk Point, South Dakota to Andrew and Carrie Shoberg on August 1875. He passed away at his home at 11 p.m. on July 17,1947 at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 16 days. He had been an invalid for some years. He became seriously ill about three weeks before his death.
He moved from South Dakota to Texas, living there for a short time. From there he went to Missouri, moving to Iowa in 1916 and lived in and around Nemaha, Iowa all this time, except a few years moving back to Missouri. While in Missouri he married Maude Aldrich on December 24,1922. To this union two children were born, Louise of Pittsburgh, PA and Hallie of Nemaha. He leaves these to mourn his death; two brothers, Oscar and William, both of West Plains, MO; one niece and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Martin and one sister, Hulda. He was baptized as an infant in the Swedish Lutheran Church.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Monday afternoon at 2;30 p.m. with Rev. Cyril Ashton officiating. Mrs. Clarence Paeper and Mrs. R.W. Robson sang several numbers with Rose Wedeking as accompanist. Farber and Ottoman Funeral home had charge of the services.
Mr. Shoberg was well known and won the respect of these and made friends of others who had not known him very well. He proved himself a good neighbor and friend.
