Despite looking, I could not locate a Dorothy born ca. 1920 to a Minnie in the 1930 census for Sac County. The dates for the Minnie Schoneboom (7 July 1893 - November 1977) you say are her mother are from a woman who lived and died in Missouri.
There is a Dorothy in the 1920 and 1930 censuses in Sac County. However she was the daughter of Michael and Emma Kies Schoneboom. It is not clear if you are searching for this Dorothy or one who is the daughter of Minnie. Michael Schoneboom was born December 4, 1874 and died February 15, 1938. In any case, here is the obituary for Emma Kies Schoneboom who died August 31, 1969 in Wall Lake, Sac County, Iowa:
WALL LAKE — Mrs. Emma Schoneboom, 89, of Wall Lake, died at the Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City Sunday morning, Aug. 31. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Wheatland Presbyterian Church near Breda, with burial in the Wheatland Cemetery. The Rev. Roger Williams officiated. Mrs. Harry Hayunga was organist and accompanied Mrs. Paul Bieret and Mrs. W. J. Geake as they sang a duet. Pallbearers were eight grandsons of Mrs. Schoneboom, including Melvin Sommers, Michael Schoneboom, Donald Gerdes, Lloyd Gerdes, Dale Gerdes, Dean Wheeler, Danny Wheeler and Neil Wheeler. The Farber and Otteman Funeral Home of Wall Lake was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Schoneboom was the widow of Michael Schoneboom, who died in 1938. She was born Dec. 5, 1879, in Sac County, a daughter of Carl and Marguerita Blocker Kies. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Gerd H. (Martha) Gerdes and Emeline Schoneboom, Wall Lake; Mrs. Margaret Sommers, Westside; and Mrs. Lloyd (Dorothy) Wheeler, Glidden; a son, Frederick Schoneboom, Lake View; 17 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schoneboom was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Carl Kies, and two sisters, Minnie and Katherine.
