Looking for family history info

I thought I once read somewhere of a Dr. Swearingen that worked at the hospital in Sac City when the hospital was in the building now known as the Early Mansion. Would like biographical info on this subject so that I can try to find out if he is related to my family. My mother's family had Swearingen's in their history. I have also heard of a Swearingen who was a book author
