Funeral services for Edna T. Anderson, 93, of Cheboygan, MI were held Thursday, November 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Odebolt. Rev. Scott Woodworth officiated.
Mrs. Roland Oxendale provided the music accompanied by Mrs. Dorothea Nielsen. Serving on the flower committee was Mrs. Pauline Taylor and Mrs. Erich Koch.
Attendants were Lake Olson, Carroll Peters, Erich Koch, Howard Anderson, Lloyd Gottberg and Roland Anderson. Burial was in the Odebolt Cemetery.
Edna Trinka Anderson was born March 21, 1891 on a farm in Stockholm Township, Crawford County, Iowa. She was one of five daughters and one son born to Swan and Julia Nelson.
Mrs. Anderson was educated in Stockholm Township rural schools and at Normal College in Denison. She taught school for several years before marriage to Seth Anderson on February 5, 1913. Their children were Cyrilla, Wesley, Joyce, June and Allen.
The Andersons farmed for several years before moving to Boyer, where they owned a lumber yard until 1934 when they moved to Denison. They were members of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Anderson taught Sunday School and served for many years as Sunday School treasurer. She was a member of Women's Society of Christian Service.
Following the death of her husband in 1972, Mrs. Anderson lived in Michigan. Preceding her in death besides her husband, Seth, were sons Allen and Wesley and daughters Cyrilla and June. She is survived by one daughter, Joyce (Mrs. Ronald Fisk) of Cheboygan, Michigan, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. SurviŽvors also include three sisters, Nellie Erickson of Odebolt and Alice Poffenberger and Ruth Allen of Punta Corda, Florida.
