She had entered the Des Moines General hospital several times and submitted to an operation each time but relief was only temporary. She returned from the hospital about three weeks ago but she grew weaker until death came Sunday morning. Services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church with the Rev. A. R. Weed officiating. Interment was in Tingley cemetery.

OBITUARY
On February 18, 1865, mother Morrison was born in Pleasant Township, Union County, Iowa, and was christened Hannah Iowa Clough. She was the sixth child of thirteen children born to Samuel and Mary Clough.

Until about twenty years of age she resided at the family home in Pleasant Township. She then went to Afton, Iowa where she attended Normal school and after graduation, taught school for a number of years.

In February 1894, at the age of 29, she was married to John Morrison. Their children are: Herschel Morrison, John Virgil Morrison, Amy Angeline Morrison, Clarence Chester Morrison, Millard Martin Morrison, Claude Emory Morrison. Claude was the son of John Morrison by a former marriage, Claude's mother having died when he was 2 years old, but grew up in their home as one of her own children.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., Tingley Christian Church with interment at Tingley Cemetery, Tingley, Iowa.

Although frail of stature, mother Morrison by nature was rugged never complaining even to the moment of her death. No task was too great for her to undertake and she never failed in the accomplishment of any task.
