OBITUARY ~ DOROTHY ELLEN (PHILLIPS) McATEE
May 02, 1938 ~ September 29, 2017

Dorothy McAtee, 79, of Kellerton, died Friday, September 29, 2017, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr, IA. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Willis Chapel cemetery in Grundy County, MO. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be given at www.powersfh.com.

Dorothy Ellen (Phillips) McAtee, daughter of Samuel E. Phillips and Hati Ellen (Rash) Phillips was born on May 2, 1938, in Rayville, MO.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Larry Francis McAtee on January 17, 1962, in Hamilton, MO. Her brother Roy conducted their ceremony. Dorothy had a gift and talent of music and had a ministry through her vocals.

Dorothy was an honorary member of the Assembly of God Church in Richmond, MO and while living in Kellerton, she was the church organist at Family Worship Church.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Larry; two daughters, Rebecca (husband Randy) Hullinger of Leon and Tammy McAtee of Mount Ayr; five grandchildren: Matthew Hullinger, Stephen Hullinger, Michael McAtee, Kevin Ralston and Cassidy McAtee; five great-grandchildren and brother Samuel (wife Margaret) Phillips of Hannibal, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Alice Farmer and brother Roy Phillips.
