November 17, 1988 ~ September 28, 2017Dusty Giles was born November 17, 1988 in a hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Ted and Christine Cobb Giles.
Dusty lived in Creston, Newton and other communities over the years. He married Darise Krumwiede on September 18, 2010 and on October 10, 2011, the joy of his life, Tehya Radell Giles, was born. When Dusty was growing up, the nickname “Donut” was given to him but because he grew up tall, and thin, the “Donut” was shortened to “Nut”! Dusty was a “jack of all trades” and did some painting and plumbing work. He had a passion for fishing and him and his dad were fishing partners. Dusty loved loud music and going to concerts. Many times, Dusty was the designated driver for people and he didn’t approve, or like, those who drove drunk.
Dusty passed away September 28, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Lois Jarnigan and grandpa LeRoy Giles.
Those left to cherish and share his memory include his wife Darise and daughter Tehya Radell Giles of Newton, IA; father Ted Giles of Creston, IA and mother Christine Cobb Giles of North Carolina; grandmother Elsie Creveling of Creston, IA; siblings Jeremy Lance Giles, Skylar LeRoy Lillie, Deon Curtis Giles, Shyane Renae Bird, and Elsie Lorraine Giles; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to the family.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. – Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
[Interment was made in Tingley Cemetery, Tingley, Iowa.]
