Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, IowaOBITUARY ~ DENNIS LEE DRAKE
Dennis Lee DRAKE was born August 29, 1938 to Albert and Alberta DRAKE on their farm near Kellerton, Iowa. He died of cancer on March 25, 2009 at Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska.
Denny graduated from Mount Ayr Community high school in 1957 and spent most of his adult life working for major trash collection companies in Omaha. During his retirement he delivered flowers for a floral shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Henry and Gertie DRAKE and Wilbur and Marie HALL.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughter, Jennifer; his daughter Michelle and husband Jon HRUSKA and his infant granddaughter, Addison HRUSKA, all of Omaha, Nebraska; his son, Scott LABENZ of Davenport, Iowa; his sister, Carolyn (DRAKE) SCOVILLE of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and by nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday, March 28, in Omaha.
