OBITUARY ~ CALVIN PARKER, COON RAPIDS

COON RAPIDS - Calvin PARKER, 61, of Coon Rapids, Formerly of Diagonal, died Nov. 3, 1999, in rural Adams County.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Rising Sun Cemetery, northwest of Diagonal. The Rev. Pam FARREN will officiate the service. There is open visitation 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Diagonal. A memorial has been established in his name.

Mr. PARKER was born Nov. 17, 1937, in Creston to Archibald M. and Ruby (FRAZER) PARKER. He graduated from Diagonal High School and attended electronics school for two years. In June 1983 he married Tena REEVE.

He was a truck driver, and lived in Maryville, Mo., and Diagonal before moving to Coon Rapids 12 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Tena PARKER of Coon Rapids; a son, Barton (wife Cathy) PARKER of Creston; six daughters, Rhonda TULL of Diagonal, Laura (husband Don) GOODMAN of Wyoming, DaNae (husband Steve) ENGLAND of Winterset, and April, Natasha and Rocquel PARKER, all of Coon Rapids; a brother, Kenneth (wife Sharon) PARKER of Humboldt; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alvin PARKER; and two sisters, Marcia LETT and Nadine HALL.
