OBITUARY ~ KENNETH C. McNUTT
Kenneth C. "Buzz" McNUTT was brn August 25, 1940, the son of Charles D. and Crystal L. (HAYWORTH) McNUTT, in Conway, Iowa, and died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Saint Luke's Hospital following a long illness. On November 5, 1966 he married Lucille A. McCOY. He graduated from Diagonal high school and received his bachelor of science degree from William Penn College. Kenn taught school and coached at Springville Community Schools for 19 years. He was active in the Iowa High School Sports Association and coached/umpried multiple sports including football, softball, baseball and basketball at many area schools over the years. Kenn had coached girls high school tennis at Marion high school for the last 16 years.
Kenn was an avid sprots fan. He enjoyed fishing and playing catch with his grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille of Marion, Iowa; a son, Jeffery (Stacey) McNUTT of Solon, Iowa; a daughter, Lori (Cory) HOSKINS of Springville, Iowa; his mother, Crystal McNUTT GORLEY of Bedford, Iowa; a sister, Betty MILLER of Creston, Iowa; two brothers, Marvin (Lorretta ) McNUTT of Bedford, Iowa, and Steve (Sherry) McNUTT of Trenton, Missouri; four grandsons, Christopher, Cameron and Cael McNUTT and Drew HOSKINS and a granddaughter, Dara HOSKINS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. McNUTT; a brother, Larry McNUTT and an infant sister, Nancy.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Del BEAR. Burial was in the Springville Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Kenn's memory.
