Luella B. Harden Dies at Mt. Ayr

MOUNT AYR - Mrs. Luella Beatrice HARDEN, 83, a lifelong resident of Mount Ayr, died at her home here Thursday morning.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mount Ayr Methodist church, Rev. W. P. GAUER, the pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Her body will be at the Rhoades funeral home here until time of the services.

Mrs. HARDEN was a sister of Virgie GLENDENNING of Mount Ayr, who died Monday. Funeral services for Miss GLENDENNING were held Wednesday.

Mrs. HARDEN is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lee FLETCHALL of Mount Ayr; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Grace GARTIN and Mrs. Clay DENNEY, both of Mount Ayr.

The four sisters had lived in Mount Ayr all their lives until the deaths of two of them occurred this week.

NOTE: The daughter of John S. and Mary C. (SHAFER) GLENDENNING, Luella was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, on November 2, 1881, and married on September 27, 1899 in Mount Ayr to Charles "Walter" HARDEN (1877-1960). ~SRB
