June, 1936OBITUARY ~ SARAH ELIZABETH MILLER
Sarah Elizabeth MILLER, daughter of Jacob and Phoebe DOBSON, was born in Butler County, Pennsylvania, June 20, 1854, and departed this life, at her home in Grand River, May 31, 1936, being at the time of her death eighty one years, eleven months and eleven days.
During her early life she with the family moved to Iowa and has spent practically the rest of her life in the state.
0n July 29, 1875, she was united in marriage to John W. EURITT, who preceded her in death April 8, 1897. Having no children of their own they took a little girl, Winnie MILES, and reared her to womanhood, and she also has gone to the great beyond.
She later was married to J. F. MILLER April 19, 1908, and again death visited her home taking her companion, May 23, 1923.
She was converted in her younger life and became a member of the U.B. Church, holding steadfast to the faith, she was ready to meet her Savior.
She leaves to mourn her passing four brothers and two sisters, one brother, Charles A. preceding her. They are William DOBSON of South Dakota; Catherine BROWN of Grand River; Frank, a twin brother of Ellston; George and John DOBSON and Carrie CREES of Grand River; a step-son and daughter, Ennis MILLER and Minnie BAKER besides a host of relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church in Grand River at 2:00 p.m. June 2, Conducted by Rev. Ida Irene ROBERTS of Ellston, and she was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Woodmansee Cemetery.
