OBITUARY ~ CLARENCE STANLEY

Clarence Edward STANLEY, 67, passed away July 25, 1988 at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Clarence was born June 27, 1921 in Maloy, Iowa, to James and Rosa STANLEY. He graduated from Maloy High School in 1939. He was united in marriage to Jessie HARGIN on November 28, 1941.

He did farm work until going into the service in 1942. He served his country in Europe during World War II. After his discharge he lived the remainder of his life in Omaha with his wife and two daughters, Virginia and Judy. He worked the last 13 years before retirement at McFadden Ford.

Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Rosa, and two brothers, John and Donald.

Surviving him are his wife, Jessie; two daughters, Virginia KEITHLEY of San Diego, Calif. and Judy VIGIL of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren one great-granddaughter; two brothers, George and James; two sisters, Bertha and Ola; a sister-in-law, Helen, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Clarence was known for his willingness to help others. He was a master at anything he tried to do and was never too busy to help a friend and never knew a stranger.

He was an active member of American Legion Post #1, and also belonged to VFW Post 2503, Nebraska Masonic Lodge #1, Scottish Rite and Tangier Shrine and Voiture 40 & 8.

He was loved by all family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services and interment were held July 28 in Omaha, Nebraska.
