OBITUARY ~ CECIL HENRY SPENCER

Cecil Henry SPENCER was born May 19, 1890, in Ringgold county, Iowa. He passed away Oct. 28, 1975, at his home in Des Moines. He was the son of the late Alpha and Mary Eveline SPENCER.

He was united in marriage to Pearl Ruth STEPHENS Feb. 2, 1913. They made their home in Ringgold county on a farm; Mr. SPENCER also was an auctioneer. They later moved to Cumberland, Iowa; where he became the manager of the Farmers Co-Operative association for 27 years. Mr. SPENCER retired in 1955 and moved to Des Moines, where he resided until his death.

He leaves besides his wife, Pearl, three daughters, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters; a brother, er. E. M. SPENCER of Fresno, Calif., and a number of nieces and nephews. He was buried in Rose Hill cemetery at Mount Ayr.
