December, 1977OBITUARY ~ WENDY SOLLIDAY
Wendy SOLLIDAY, 21, of Mount Ayr, died at the Ringgold County Hospital Friday morning, Dec. 16 [1977], following an illness of several months.
She was born Oct. 3, 1956 in Knox, Ind., to Don and Nida SOLLIDAY. She had lived in Mount Ayr 12 years and graduated from the Mount Ayr Community high school with the class of 1973. She had been attending Culver-Stockton College for the past two years.
She was a member of the Mount Ayr Christian church, Rainbow for Girls, P.E.O. Chapter CK, and the ATO Little Sisters. She had been elected to membership in the Mount Ayr Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her partents; two sisters, Tami SOLLIDAY of Dallas, Texas, and Marcy SOLLIDAY of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Scott, at home, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Don FAVINGER of Knox, Ind. and Mr. and Mrs. Emmett SPRINGER of Oregon, Mo.
Memorial services were held Sunday, Dec. 18, at 2:00 p.m. from the Mount Ayr Christian church with pastors Phil and Doris KINTON officiating. The organist, Mrs. Robert THOMAS, accompanied Dr. Collus LAWHEAD, who sang "Come As a Child" and "Pass It On." Casketbearers were Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity Brothers for Culver-Stockton College.
Interment took place at Rose Hill cemetery with Rev. Larry SQUIER conducting graveside services.
Arrangements were made by Rhoades-Wilson Funeral Home.
