Owen [s], Elizabeth Catherine Jones –
Elizabeth Catherine Jones was born September 4th, 1844 in Knox County, Illinois and died Sept. 21, 1919, at the age of 75 years, 17 days. Her girlhood days were spent with her parents in this locality. She was united in marriage to Joseph Owen [s] September 19, 1862. To this union two children were born, Mrs. D. L. Bennett of Clearfield, and one son who died in infancy.

The surviving relatives are her aged husband, her daughter, six grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and one brother, Mr. O. R. Jones of York, Nebraska, who was present at the funeral but in very poor health.

She united with the ME church young in years and lived a faithful Christian life, ready at all times to lend a helping hand in time of need. She passed away Monday morning September 21st at 12:10 at her home three miles north of Clearfield, a short time after bidding the relatives present goodbye and saying that to see God was her only hope.

Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 conducted by Pastor J. W. Johnson, assisted by Pastor Carlson. Interment in Clearfield Cemetery.
