OBITUARY ~ JACK MOORE
May 08, 1922 ~ June 12, 2011Jack MOORE, 89, of Mount Ayr, passed away June 12 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Thursday, June 16 at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home 205 West Monroe St Mount Ayr. Carey CROWSON will officiate the service. Burial is in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr. Open viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 to 8:00 pm with the family present Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in his name to be decided later.
Jack, son of Sarah Blanche RICHARDS and Ray Arthur MOORE, was born May 8, 1922 at Mount Ayr. He graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1939. On December 7, 1941, Jack married Vera AUSTIN in Bethany, MO.
Jack was a milk man for 35 years and farmed & raised cattle for 65 years.
Survivors include his wife Vera MOORE of Mount Ayr; children Cheryl (Dave) STUCK of Warrensburg, MO, Beverly MOORE of Mount Ayr, Jeannette (Dan) LUTRICK of Mount Ayr, Susan KARAS of Indianola, and Jay (Kim) MOORE of Broomfield, CO; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Richard MOORE; son Charles MOORE; daughter Barbara MOORE; grandson Caleb MOORE; and grandson-in-law Tadd BAINUM.
