Ewalt, Florence N. Crew –
Florence, daughter of James and Viola Leonard Crew was born in Taylor County, Ia., May 28, 1896 and departed this life Feb. 11, 1954, after only a few hours Illness at her home in West Clearfield at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 13 days. The family moved from the farm to Clearfield when she was a child.

She attended the public school, graduating with the class of 1907. She attended the Drake Conservatory of Music for two years.

On Dec. 16, 1914, she was united in marriage at the home of her parents to Frank M. Ewalt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Ewalt. They located on a farm east of Clearfield, where they resided until 1949 when they moved to the present home. To this union was born one son, Millard L.

Mrs. Ewalt was a faithful consistent member of the Christian Church and served as church pianist for many years. She was also a member of the W.L.C. and Loyal Neighbor Clubs. Her devotion to her loved ones and cheerful disposition endeared her to all with whom she associated.

To cherish her memory are her husband, Frank and the son Millard L., and his wife Marjorie, one granddaughter Annabelle Ewart: one sister, Mrs. Bessie Barrens. Clearfield: three brothers, Ivan L. Crew, Diagonal, J. Ralph Crew. Clearfield and Fred K Crew, Portland, Ore. and three nieces and three nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Clearfield Christian church, the Rev. Wm. Howes officiatirg. Interment was in Clearfield cemetery.
