OBITUARY - PHYLLIS (JENNINGS) BALLENGER

Phyllis BALLENGER, 75 of Columbus, Nebraska died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 1:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Paul ROWOLDT officiating. There is no visitation.

Phyllis J. BALLENGER was born February 25, 1930 in Maloy, Iowa to Ernest & Agnes Fern (BEST) JENNINGS. Phyllis attended schools in Maloy and Blockton, Iowa. In October of 1952, Phyllis married Leland Jensen. On September 25, 1967, Phyllis married Donald E. BALLENGER in Lancaster, Missouri. They moved to Columbus in 1975. Phyllis was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for and visiting with family and friends. Phyllis spent many hours volunteering her time and talents to several different organizations.

Phyllis is survived by daughter Judy Kay (Paul) PASK of Aurora, CO; daughter Jackie Lee JENSEN of Rochester, MN; 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and half-brother - Marion JENNINGS of Blockton, IA.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents parents Ernest & Agnes (BEST) JENNINGS; husband Donald BALLENGER; daughter Tina Mae ABBOTT; grandson Cord ABBOTT; brother Ernest JENNINGS; half-brother Gerald JENNINGS; and half-brother Clyde JENNINGS.
