OBITUARY - LLOYD JUSTIN BAIRD

Lloyd J. BAIRD, son of Samuel P. and Ella McMASTERS BAIRD, was born Nov. 18, 1900, near Redding, Iowa, and passed away August 17, 1980 at the Ringgold County hospital in Mount Ayr.

He graduated from the Redding High School and attended Capitol City Commercial College in Des Moines. He was a member of the Redding Presbyterian Church.

On June 18, 1924 he was united in marriage with Mary STUCK.

He worked in the Luce and Rexall Drug Stores for five years and in 1930 they moved to Boise, Idaho where he ws associated with BAIRD'S Dry Cleaners for 44 years. In Bosie he was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Idaho Dry Cleaners Association.

In 1974 they returned to Mount Ayr to make their home.

Preceding him in death were an infant son; his parents; three sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sisters, June STEPHENS and Fay KINCAID of Bosie, Idaho, and a brother, John, of Lincoln City, Oregon, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1980, at Rhoades-Wilson Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, conducted by Rev. Norman NOBLE.

Organist was Mike GREENE and soloist, Kenneth BURRIGHT. Casketbearers included Eddie FORD, Duane SMITH, Dick YASHACK, Steve WERNER, Richard STUCK and Lynden TAYLOR.

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr, Iowa.
