Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, 1911OBITUARY - ELSIE MAUDE FUGATE
Elsie Maude FUGATE, daughter of J[ames]. E[dwin]. and Belle C[ena (HALL)]. FUGATE, was born August 20, 1890, in Fillmore county, Nebraska, coming to this county with her parents when four years of age, where she has resided up to the time of her death which occured December 28, 1910, after a lingering illness which began last spring. She was converted during the revival meeting held at High Point last winter by Rev. MEADE, and during her sickness she exhibited the Christian spirit by enduring the suffering which came to her with fortitude and patience, expressing a desire to regain health but resigning herself to the will of the Master.
The mother, Belle C., died in 1908 and a sister, Alma B. [died July 29, 1886, aged 1y 27 days], had also preceded her to the better world.
She leaves to mourn her loss a father, five sisters and five brothers and many friends in this community. The family were all at home at the time of her death except Mrs. W. A. COOK, who had been with her for the previous six weeks, but had returned a short time before to her home in Williston, N. D.
Interment was made in Oliver Cemetery.
