OBITUARY - F. E. SCOTHORN.

Frank Ephraim SCOTHORN, son of George and Martha SCOTHORN, was born at Hamden, Ohio, April 1, 1879, and departed this life at his home near Beaconsfield, Iowa, May 7, 1927, aged 48 years, one month and six days. When a lad of six or seven the family moved to Iowa, settling at Clearfield. Some years later they came to Beaconsfield and lived on the farm now known as the Doug KEPPER farm.

May 21, 1902, he was united in marriage with Miss Emily A. WROUGHTON and made his home on the farm where they have spent all their married life.

Three children were born into their home, Lela Arlene, Dwight and Louise. These were called to the Father's heavenly home in infancy.

He leaves a bereaved wife, who has been his constant companion for a quarter centery, a sorrowing widowed mother, who has made her home with him and his wife, a brother, Lloyd SCOTHORN, of western Kansas, besides two uncles, Charles Robbins of Grand River, and Mont ROBBINS, of Ohio, and a host of surviving and sympathizing friends.

He was an industrious worker, a good manager, a kind hearted neighbor or merciful spirit to his fellow's need and held the high esteem of his fellow citizens, who have only deep sympathy for him and for the family in profound sorrow.
