OBITUARY - LORRAINE (THOMAS) SCHAA

ELDORA, IA -- Lorraine SCHAA, 82, of Eldora died Thursday, December 16, 2004, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls of natural causes.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Decembr 21, at the First United Methodist Church in Eldora with the Rev. Douglas HARDING officiating. Burial followed at the Eldora City Cemetery.

Lorraine was born November 20, 1922, in Kellerton, the daughter of Earl and Mamie (MAIN) THOMAS. She graduated from Eldora High School in 1939 and taught in Goose Creek County School before moving to California to work in a factory during World War II. On January 27, 1946, she was united in marriage with Paul Harold SCHAA. The couple made their home in Eldora where Lorraine worked as a sales clerk for various businesses.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, local women's "Club 16" and Pine Lake Golf and Country Club. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing bridge and jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat LITTSCHWAGER of Wylie, Texas; a son, Greg SCHAA and wife Janella of Steamboat Rock; two grandchildren, Damon WOOD and Jill KARNS; and a sister, JoAnn HARTKOPP and husband Willie of Iowa Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; two sons, Stanley Dean and Thomas Joe; and a daughter, LuAnn.

Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora was in charge of the arrangements.
