OBITUARY - DONALD LEROY WOOD

January 12, 1919 - September 28, 2008

Donald L. WOOD, 89, of Hot Springs Village died Sunday, September 28, 2008. He was born January 12, 1919, in Tingley, Iowa, to Clarence Everett and Laura (CHRISTOPHER) WOOD. He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of Cookson United Methodist Church, Cookson, Okla. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul WOOD; and a sister, Evelyn CASTOR.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy WOOD of Hot Springs Village; son and daughter-in-law, David and Nancy WOOD of Hot Springs Village; sister, Lorene GILE of Albia, Iowa; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008, at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Garland Ave., and S. Sixth St., Fort Smith.
