OBITUARY - FRANCES LORRAINE (COLLIER) COMER

Frances Lorraine COMER, 80, of Paxton, died November 28, 2005, at Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland [NE].

Frances was born May 22, 1925, at Malvern, Iowa to Elmer Winfield and Roxie Mae (ASHER) COLLIER. She grew up in Malvern through the 11th grade, then moved to Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Frances married Jesse Earl COMER, November 11, 1944, at Troy, Kan. and they made their home in Grant City, Mo. Jesse died in 1969 and in 1982 Frances moved to North Platte, in 2000, she moved to Paxton. Frances enjoyed canning fruit and vegetables, working on beaded calendars and quilting. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Frances was baptized in the Christian Church in Grant City, Mo.

Survivors include five daughters Lora (James) BLISS of Paxton, Geraldean (James) POLIN of Fayetteville, N.C., Evelyn (Greg) BORSKE of Wathena, Kan., Anita BAKER of Little Rock, Calif., and Mary (Curt) BOSWELL of Ravenwood, Mo.; a son, Dennis COMER of North Platte; a sister, Pearl MAY of Tingley, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, Kevin, Donna, Melissa, Mellannie, Melleigha, Terri Gail, Heather, Brian, Brandon, Joshua, Jessica, Jacob, McKenna, and Jason and Jessie both deceased; 10 great-grandchildren; and other family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Everett COLLIER. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Sutherland with the Rev. Delano "Del" CUNNINGHAM officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Grant City Cemetery in Grant City, Mo.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore in North Platte.
