OBITUARY - ROBERT R. "BOB" AUGUSTINE, 91

Robert R. "Bob" AUGUSTINE, 91, of Circleville, Ohio, formerly of Ames, Iowa, died Sunday, December 2, 2007, at Pickaway Manor in Circleville [IN].

He was born July 31, 1916, in Maloy, Iowa, son of the late Harry Lee and Florence Ada (JOHNSTON) AUGUSTINE. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He and his wife Pauline owned and operated Ames Engraving Co.

A member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Circleville, he was a member of the Couple Club and the Monday Morning Bible study group. He also was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling, photography, hiking and swimming. He enjoyed the time he spent as a volunteer, reading to children at Village Nursery School in West Lafayette and at Brooks-Yates in Circleville.

His wife of 65 years, Pauline (VORHES) AUGUSTINE, preceded him in death.

Three daughters survive; Mary JOHNSON (husband: Jack) of San Diego, Calif., Edie BACHMAN (husband: Donald) of Circleville and Lynn HADE of Lancaster, Pa.

Also surviving are grandchildren Aaron JOHNSON, Jamie (Tiffany) BACHMAN, Melissa JOHNSON, Rebecca (Barth) POBEE, Kristin (Kursat) SENDUR and Anna HADE. A brother, Eugene Edward AUGUSTINE, preceded in death.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 4:30 p.m. service Friday, December 7, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 135 E. Mound St., Circleville, Pastors Karen Martin KEPNER and Howard CLEVENGER officiating. Bob's service to others continues in death by his anatomical donation to the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Memorial contributions may be made to Brooks-Yates Center, Children's Services, 200 E. High St., Circleville, OH 43113 or Berger Hospice Care, 600 N. Pickaway St., Circleville, OH 43113.
