Margaret Alice, daughter of Hugh and Florinda (CAMPBELL) LONG, was born in Mercer County, Penn., Feb. 15, 1865, and passed away at the age of 96 years and two months. She was the last survivor of 10 children.

The LONG family came to Iowa in 1877. She attended Tarkio College and taught for many years in the schools of Taylor and Ringgold counties.

Her loyalty to her family was one of her strongest characteristics.
