OBITUARY.

Died - In Mt. Ayr, Iowa, January 26th 1874, Rebecca L., wife of R. M. WORTHINGTON, in the 21st year of her age.

Near four o'clock Monday afternoon, the wife of Mr. Marlow WORTHINGTON, of this place, departed her life. To her husband, and in fact to all, her dissolution was unexpected till a very short time before the event took place. Still we trust she was fully prepared for the summons. She was a member of the M. E. Church of this place, and had been for about three years. Blessed are those who die in Jesus. Her funeral was conducted by E. J. LOCKWOOD and J. D. MORRIS, in the Methodist church. The sermon was preached by E. J. LOCKWOOD, from Malachi, 3rd chapter and 18th verse, to a large audience of sympathizing friends.

NOTE: Rebecca L. WORTHINGTON was born in 1852. She was interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
