Graveside services for William Fredrick WOODS, 75, of St. Joseph, Missouri, formerly of Athelstan, were held June 26 at the Athelstan, (Ia.) Cemetery and conducted by Rev. Ward CAMPBELL of Mount Ayr. Mr. WOODS died at his home in St. Joseph, Missouri June 22, 1981.
Son of David WOODS and (DOWNING) WOODS, William Fredrick WOODS was born May 17, 1906 in Athelstan, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, a daughter, one sister and three brothers.
He is survived by three children: one son, Billy Dean WOODS of Diagonal, Iowa, two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis HARTMAN of Lawrence, Kansas, Mrs. Charlotte FLEETWOOD of Gravity, Iowa; ten grandchildren; one brother, Floyd WOODS of Ackworth, Iowa; two sisters: Mrs. Letha SCHUSTER of Blockton, Iowa and Mrs. Mary HOWARD of Phoenix, Arizona; nieces, nephews; relatives and friends.
