SUDDEN DEATH of MRS. THOS. WILSON.

Everyone was surprised and grieved to learn of the sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Thos. WILSON which occurred in this city on Sunday morning. She had not been ill and apparently had not been ill and apparently was enjoying good health. On Saturday she attended to her house hold duties as usual and in the evening she called on Mrs. HUNTER. Near midnight she was takensuddenly ill and medical aid was at once summoned, but she only recovered consciousness for a few moments and at 3 o'clock in the morning she passed away. Apoplexy was the cause of her death and although it had never maifested itself before, it came so suddenly and unexpectedly that no permanent relief could be administerd.

Mrs. WILSON was a member of the Christian church of this city, and the services were conducted by Rev. G. W. BROWN yesterday afternoon. He preached a very impressive sermon and spoke many words of comfort and sympathy.

Mrs. WILSON was born in Perry county, Penn., July 2, 1830. At the age of 22 she was married to Thos. WILSON at Johnstown, Penn. After a short residence there they moved to Davenport, Iowa, in the spring of 1854. Mr. WILSON engaged in business in that city for a number of yeras and in 1872 they moved to Ringgold County. They first lived in Clinton township, but about four years ago they moved to Mt. Ayr where she has since resided. She first joined the Christian church in 1861 and has been a faithful and consistent member ever since and was quite active in church work. She was very amiable and had a pleasant and cheeful disposition and was loved by all who knew her.
