OBITUARY - MRS. J. H. WILSON.

Mary Isabelle MARTIN, daughter of Samuel and Eleanor Jane MARTIN, was born April 14, 1856, in Black Hawk county, Iowa, and died in Mount Ayr, Iowa, November 10, 1931, at the age of 75 years, six months and 27 days. When she was about five years of age the family removed to a farm near Macomb, Illinois. About 1875 she returned with the family to Iowa, the new home being near Promise City.

On March 15, 1877, she was united in marriage to James H. WILSON, then of Promise City. About 1882 Mr. and Mrs. WILSON removed to Ringgold county, where their home was thereafter, with the exception of a short time in Page county, Iowa. Since 1899 the home was in Mount Ayr.

Mrs. WILSON had three brothers and two sisters. Her parents, the three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. One sister, Mrs. E. J. GRAHAM, of Shenandoah, Iowa, survives to mourn her loss. Mr. WILSON preceded her in death on April 15, 1931.

To Mr. and Mrs. WILSON were born seven children: Martin Emmitt and Annie Laura, both of whom died in infancy; Tracy M., who died October 24, 1903; James Oscar, who died February 9, 1905; Ada Agatha, who died November 17, 1919; John Ervin, who died June 2, 1929; and Edna Eleanor, now Mrs. C. CAMP, who is the only surviving member of the family.

Two granddaughters and two grandsons, children of Mr. and Mrs. John Ervin WILSON, live to cherish the memory of their grandmother. They are Graham Ervin, Mary Elenor, Donald Ivol and Lila Grace.

From early girlhood Mrs. WILSON was a member of the United Presbyterian church. A faithful and devoted wife and mother, a kind and helpful neighbor, a consistent christian woman. She leaves many friends to remember her quiet goodness and to be influenced by her helpful example.

Funeral services were held at Rhoades Funeral Home Thursday afternoon, at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. Jesse JOHNSON, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, and interment made in Rose Hill cemetery.
