The Ringgold Record, 1886

OBITUARY.

Died - January 11th 1886, after a short illness of ten days, at his fathers residence in Lots Creek township, John WILEY, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex. WILEY, at the age of 15 years and 9 months.

The funeral services at the family residence were conducted by Rev. ANDREWS, thence they conveyed the body to the Stringtown Cemetery (sic), followed by a large procession of friends and relatives. The thanks of the bereaved family are tendered to the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted and sympathized with them in their affliction.

NOTE: John S. WILEY was born in 1870 and died January 10, 1886 (according to his gravestone) at the age of 15 years and 9 months. He was interred at Oakdale Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.

Alexander S. WILEY was born February 10, 1829, and died September 24, 1895. Elizabeth J. WILEY was born August 25, 1831, and died on February 11, 1920. They were interred at Oakdale Cemetery.
